2026 China Government Scholarship Short-term Study Program Application Notice

A call to organise and apply for 2026 short-term study programs funded by the China Government Scholarship. The notice invites colleges to propose high-quality short-term programs (minimum 14 days, maximum 3 months) to be held in China between 2026-05-01 and 2027-02-28. Programs should focus on foundational disciplines, emerging disciplines, and interdisciplinary designs and aim to support outcomes such as international education exchange and capacity building. Successful projects will receive China Government Scholarship funding according to national standards covering tuition, accommodation, living allowance and medical insurance.

Tuition, on-campus accommodation, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance according to China Government Scholarship standards.

Target participants are foreign nationals from countries with developed higher education in Europe and the Americas and from Belt and Road countries; eligible participants include students enrolled in foreign higher education institutions at undergraduate level or above, in-service teachers, and young researchers. Participants already studying in China are excluded.

Colleges should complete the application form (attached) and send the electronic version to guet-overseas@guet.edu.cn with email subject 'College Name + CSC short-term study program application' by 2026-03-23 15:00; the university will recommend selected projects to the China Scholarship Council.
