The EJN Story Grants to Report on Asia’s Endangered Apes 2026 offers grants to journalists in Asian range countries to report on threats to apes and conservation solutions. Up to 10 grants are available, with budgets up to US$1,500 each, plus editorial mentorship and training on repackaging reporting for social media.

Applicants must be journalists from Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand or Vietnam; applications in English; open to freelance and staff journalists in any medium.

Submit an application/proposal in English via Earth Journalism Network; group applications must name a single lead applicant who will receive funds if awarded; applicants must disclose use of generative AI and follow application guidance.
