Berlin Architecture, Culture and City Marketing, 1750 – Present

This course examines the meaning and significance of architecture in Berlin, focusing on its historical development and the social and political contexts of its buildings. It includes walking tours to significant sites and aims to provide understanding of the relationship between Berlin’s architecture and its society. A certificate of participation is awarded upon completion, and the programme includes a social programme and potential accommodation arrangements through the organiser.

The course is open to students from any subject. While basic knowledge of architecture and architectural history is welcomed, it is not necessary.
