Cultures and Languages of the Mediterranean (MA)

The Master of Arts degree in Cultures and Languages of the Mediterranean is an application-oriented master's programme at the University of Göttingen. It examines historical foundations and current social, linguistic, political, and economic aspects of the Mediterranean, with modules in linguistics, themes, and practical studies. The programme includes international elements such as guest lecturers and intercultural training, and can be studied in German (70%) and other languages (30%).

A prerequisite for entrance to the Master's programme is a Bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS credit points in a field related to the Mediterranean. A minimum of 50 ECTS in modules related to one of the listed Mediterranean subject areas is required.
