Science Granting Councils Initiative (SGCI) STISA 2034 Multilateral Research Call 2026: US$12 Million for Africa-Led Research and Innovation

The SGCI STISA 2034 Multilateral Research Call is a continental funding initiative that connects Africa’s national science granting councils to support Africa-led research and innovation aligned with STISA 2034. It aims to fund multi-country flagship research projects across selected themes, with grants distributed to participating institutions. Projects should generate new knowledge and have credible pathways for research to influence policy, practice or industry, strengthening regional collaboration and capacity.
