Springboard 2026 Research Grants

The Springboard 2026 Research Grants provide seed funding toUK–France, UK–Germany, and UK–Spain research collaborations. Grants of up to £10,000 support collaborative activities aimed at establishing partnerships, exchanging expertise, developing joint proposals, and building international research capacity for early-career researchers.

Applications are open to research teams from higher education institutions or not-for-profit research institutions, with one UK lead institution and one lead institution from France, Germany, or Spain; only the UK lead may submit the final application.

Applications must be submitted through the British Council online grant platform; UK Lead Institution must initiate submission.
