Fall 2026 Iliad Fellowship

The Fall 2026 Iliad Fellowship is a research residency led by Iliad in collaboration with PrincInt, hosted at the London Initiative for Safe AI (LISA) in London, UK. It brings together PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and experienced academics to work intensively on mathematical approaches to AI alignment over a three-month, full-time period, with mentorship and a structured pathway into AI safety research. Fellows undertake individual research projects, develop a detailed research proposal, and participate in seminars and events within the AI alignment community.

Mentorship from established researchers, community within AI safety, structured pathway for future funding or academic opportunities, and a stipend with travel and housing support.

The fellowship targets PhD students in mathematics, physics, computer science or related fields; postdoctoral researchers; experienced academics considering a transition into AI alignment; and independent researchers with substantial prior mathematical research experience.
