Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship

The Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship supports German researchers to undertake research stays abroad at leading institutions worldwide. It targets postdoctoral researchers and experienced academics seeking international collaborations and mobility, with host research positions connected to the Humboldt Network. The program provides funding for stays of 6–24 months for postdocs and 6–18 months for experienced researchers, with flexible start dates and additional family and reintegration support.

Financial support for research stays abroad, travel reimbursements, family and childcare support, and long-term alumni networking.

Primarily German researchers (postdoctoral or experienced) who have an eligible host connected to the Humboldt Network and can demonstrate strong international publication records.

Applications are submitted online through the Feodor Lynen Alexander von Humboldt Foundation portal.
