POPO Pacific Chemistry Scholarship 2026

The POPO Pacific Chemistry Scholarship supports Pacific students at the University of Otago preparing for the CHEM 191 paper as part of the Health Sciences First Year programme. It enables recipients to take the CHEM 150 summer school paper and provides ongoing academic support. The scholarship provides financial support and short-term residential assistance to help students undertake the required course work.

A $2,500 award; tuition coverage for CHEM 191; living-cost assistance for two weeks in a Residential College; resources, tutorials and ongoing academic support.

Open to students of Pacific descent who are New Zealand citizens or holders of a New Zealand Residence Class Visa.

Submit the scholarship application form; apply to take the CHEM 150 paper in Summer School and to the Health Sciences First Year programme at the University of Otago.
