European Research Council (ERC) Grants at the University of Liège

The ERC Grants at the University of Liège provide competitive research funding for individual researchers across all scientific and academic fields. The programme supports Starting, Consolidator and Advanced grant holders to carry out exploratory, frontier research hosted at ULiège. Successful projects receive funding to cover salaries, equipment, operating costs and travel, together with institutional logistical and administrative support. The University of Liège offers strategic assistance to applicants in preparing and submitting proposals to the European Research Council.

Research project funding (€1.5–€2.5M depending on category), salaries for PI and team, equipment and operating costs, travel costs, and institutional logistical/administrative support from ULiège.

Researchers of all nationalities with an excellent scientific profile and an innovative research project. Eligibility categories include Starting Grants (2–7 years after PhD), Consolidator Grants (7–12 years after PhD) and Advanced Grants (established researchers with an exceptional track record). The project must be carried out at the University of Liège.

Initial contact with ULiège Research Administration; proposal drafting and revision with institutional support; electronic submission via the European Commission's Funding & Tenders portal; evaluation by international expert panels and possible interview in Brussels.
