VLIR-UOS Travel Grant (Reisbeurzen)

The VLIR-UOS Travel Grant is a one-off mobility allowance for Flemish university students undertaking supervised fieldwork or data collection in countries of the Global South as part of their degree. It supports end-of-cycle students whose field stay is integrated into their curriculum and validated by an academic supervisor. The grant aims to facilitate immersion in development-related research while helping students obtain required ECTS credits.

One-time allocation of 1000 EUR and logistical support from the sending institution's international relations office.

Applicants must be Belgian nationals or citizens of the European Union, regularly enrolled at a university or university college in Flanders, planning a supervised field stay of at least 28 consecutive days integrated into their degree and validated by an academic promoter.

Prepare the official application form, supervisor approval letter, project description and proof of enrollment; submit the dossier to the institution's development cooperation service or international relations office for processing and validation.
