Arthur L. Day Prize and Lectureship

The Arthur L. Day Prize and Lectureship is awarded to a scientist making lasting contributions to the study of the physics of the Earth and includes a prize and funds to present a series of Day Lectures at NAS events. The prize recognizes contributions across geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, and related disciplines and publicly honors the recipient with a lecture series.
