ICGEB-AICAD Short Term Postdoctoral Fellowships – March 2026

The ICGEB-AICAD Short Term Postdoctoral Fellowships offer a six-month postdoctoral training period at ICGEB laboratories in Italy, India or South Africa for scientists from Africa to conduct research in biotechnology and related fields, including Health, Sustainable Agriculture, Industrial Biotechnology and Renewable Energy. The closing date for applications is 31 March 2026, 23:59 CET. Applicants should identify an ICGEB Group Leader/PI who will support the project proposal as part of the application.

Monthly stipend, travel to/from the host country, health insurance, visa/permit costs reimbursed.

Applicants must be nationals of Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania or Uganda; must hold a PhD in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years of research experience; preference is given to candidates under 35 years of age.
