CAG-ICSSR Research Article Competition

The CAG-ICSSR Research Article Competition is a national research writing contest for students to submit original, evidence-based articles on governance, public policy, social development, employment, and local governance. It is organised across 28 states and 3 union territories of India and sponsored by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The competition awards prizes at State/UT and National levels with a total prize pool of approximately ₹1 crore.

State/UT level: First Prize ₹75,000; Second Prize ₹50,000; Third Prize ₹25,000. National level: First Prize ₹1,25,000; Second Prize ₹1,00,000; Third Prize ₹75,000. Total prize pool approximately ₹1 crore.

Full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students enrolled in eligible institutions recognised by relevant Indian education authorities may apply. Eligible institutions include Institutions of National Importance, universities/institutions recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, institutions eligible for Central Assistance under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act, or institutions ranked under NIRF.

Prepare an original research article in PDF according to guidelines and submit through the official competition process; separate registration required for State/UT and National levels.
