CODATA-RDA School of Research Data Science

The CODATA-RDA School of Research Data Science is an intensive training school focused on research data science skills including open science, research data management and curation, use of research compute infrastructures, large-scale analysis, statistics, visualization and automation. It is open to participants from all disciplines who wish to develop practical data skills applicable to research and research support roles. The training is primarily targeted at early career researchers but is also suitable for data librarians, research support staff and more advanced researchers seeking professional development. The school includes lectures, tutorials and hands-on practical sessions.

Training in research data science, access to lectures and practical sessions; possible accommodation, subsistence and travel support for a limited number of participants.

Primarily targeted at early career researchers (advanced master's students, doctoral candidates, post-docs and young academics); also open to data librarians, research support staff and more advanced researchers seeking professional development. Applicants are expected to have a baseline of data skills and must provide a personal statement and references.

Applicants submit an online application form (includes testing of baseline data skills), a personal statement explaining intended use and impact, and references from tutors or line managers.
