The Cuarta Edición de la Cátedra Enmanuel Mongalo is a teacher training program organized by the Ministry of Education of Nicaragua in collaboration with the Academy of Geography and History of Nicaragua. It provides seven months of bimodal training (online and in-person) for secondary school social sciences teachers, focusing on strengthening scientific and didactic capacities and knowledge of Nicaragua’s history. The edition involves a selected group of in-person participants and a larger online cohort and aims to deepen study of 19th-century socio-cultural aspects and 20th-century national heroes, with outcomes including teacher certification and published investigations.
