ABMS Visiting Scholars Program 2025

The ABMS Visiting Scholars Program supports early-career medical professionals to conduct research while remaining at their home institutions. Scholars work with self-selected mentors, provide monthly updates, and present findings at the annual ABMS Conference, with potential sponsorship from ABMS foundations or member boards. An award of $15,000 is provided to cover direct research costs and travel expenses related to participation.

Ideal for individuals aiming to advance their profession and specialty certification through research; includes early-career physicians, junior faculty, fellows, residents, and individuals with master’s or doctoral degrees in related fields.

Applicants must identify a research mentor, submit a project description with plan, budget, outcomes and timeline, provide statements of goals, and include two letters of recommendation plus a CV.
