The Globe and Mail Foundation Scholarship for a Syrian Media Professional: Online Journalism Fellowship at the University of Toronto is a funded fellowship to mentor and train a Syrian media worker as a journalist for global media. Fellows receive online and in-person instruction, including a two-week bootcamp and ongoing cohort teaching, with a focus on journalism skills and reporting beats for international outlets.

Mentorship by program faculty, online and in-person training sessions, portfolio development, and potential opportunities to collaborate with global newsroom editors

Open to Syrian media professionals with good working knowledge of English; fellows may participate online from anywhere or attend in person where feasible.
