Kokuyo Design Award 2027

The Kokuyo Design Award 2027 is an international product design competition organised by KOKUYO Group that seeks original stationery, furniture or tools for working, learning and living scenes. It invites proposals based on the 2027 theme "dialogue," with an emphasis on ideas that engage social issues and have potential for real-world production. Outstanding entries may be commercialized and prototypes are considered as foundational ideas for future development. A New Generation Award recognises outstanding student work from elementary to graduate level.

Grand prize ¥2,000,000; three Merit awards of ¥500,000 each; up to 10 New Generation Award winners ¥30,000 each; potential commercialization of outstanding entries.

Open worldwide to corporations, organisations, individuals and groups (up to two individuals per group). Submissions must be original and not previously made public.
