The Auditing PhD Scholarship is a three-year, fully salaried doctoral position hosted by the Department of Accounting at Copenhagen Business School. The position focuses on auditing research topics such as AI in auditing, audit firm ownership, sustainability assurance, regulator-auditor interaction and client-auditor interaction. The appointment includes teaching obligations and supervision by CBS faculty and encourages engagement with firms, professionals and international research networks. The scholarship covers salary, tuition, office space and course and travel costs according to CBS agreements.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree (3+2 Bologna) completed before starting the PhD, have a high level of academic English, and meet specified grade/GPA requirements (including grade 10 for the master’s thesis or equivalent). Documentation that the applicant ranks in the top 40% of the class may be accepted if GPA thresholds are not met.
