EEAS Traineeships

The European External Action Service (EEAS) offers traineeships in its delegations around the world. The programme provides opportunities for young graduates and students to gain exposure to EU external relations and diplomacy. Traineeships vary by pillar and host location, and include funded and unfunded placements with different duration requirements.

Trainees may receive remuneration (where funded), professional experience in EU external affairs, and exposure to EU diplomacy across delegations.

Traineeships are open to EU citizens and certain categories including host-country nationals, with different requirements depending on the pillar (funded or unfunded) and level of study or experience.
