Genentech Futurelab Emergency Grant Program

The Genentech Futurelab Emergency Grant Program provides emergency financial support to current, past, and renewal-eligible Genentech Futurelab Scholarship recipients who are experiencing financial difficulties that may affect their college enrollment. Grants are awarded to undergraduates and may cover specified eligible expenses up to a set amount per request. The program is administered by Scholarship America and includes an application process with required documentation.

Emergency grant funds for eligible expenses (e.g., housing, medical, childcare, transportation, groceries, technology/Wi‑Fi). Grants are issued to the student and may be taxable.

Open to current Genentech Futurelab Scholarship recipients who are current postsecondary undergraduates enrolled full-time and majoring in science, technology, engineering or math, and within four years from high school graduation; must have unexpected financial difficulties and be able to verify enrollment and eligible expenses.

Submit an application with required documentation (proof of enrollment and documentation of financial emergency) through the Scholarship America application system; applications may be reviewed on a per-cycle basis.
