Premios de la Academia a las mejores tesis de doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades

The Academia Mexicana de Ciencias awards prizes to the best doctoral theses in Social Sciences and Humanities authored by young researchers. The awards include a diploma and a maximum of two recognitions in Social Sciences and two in Humanities. Eligible theses must have been carried out in Mexico and the doctoral examination must have taken place within the specified period. Winners are selected by a jury from the Academy's Awards Commission and the jury's decision is final.

Diploma and recognition (up to two awards in Social Sciences and two in Humanities).

Applicants must have obtained the degree of doctor and not have reached, as of 2026-09-19, the age of 38 for men and 40 for women. Theses must have been carried out in Mexico and the doctoral examination must have been presented between 2024-08-01 and 2026-08-01 at a Mexican accredited institution. Each person may participate only once.

Register at www.amc.mx/premiostesis, complete the form and upload PDFs: doctoral thesis, CV, expert letter describing contribution and impact, supervisor letter, and legal documents proving age and doctoral exam/title.
