OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards 2025 for Early-career Women Scientists

The OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards recognize early-career women scientists from eligible developing countries who are in the early stages of their research careers. The awards include a cash prize and funding for an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a relevant international conference. Five awards are distributed across regions, with an additional floating award for an outstanding candidate.

Cash prize of USD 5,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a relevant international conference.

A woman who has earned a PhD in a scientific discipline within the previous ten years and whose current research relates to inclusive health, with at least 5 of the last 15 years lived/worked in one of 66 listed STLC countries.

Applications must be submitted online in English, including documentation proving 5 years of residency in an eligible STLC, evidence of research contributing to SDG3, a motivational statement, PhD certificate, CV, publications list, and at least 2 reference letters.
