Prix « jeune chercheur »

The Prix « jeune chercheur » is an annual cash prize awarded by the Fondation des Treilles to doctoral candidates (final-year PhD students) carrying out research in France. The prize is open to all disciplines and carries an amount of 6000 euros. The winner is selected by the foundation's scientific council and the award is presented at a ceremony which the laureate is expected to attend. Applications are examined by the scientific council in February or March and decisions are communicated by 31 March at the latest.

Candidates must be under 35 years old (candidates born before 1 November 1991 are ineligible). Candidates must be enrolled at a French university or in co-tutelle for the 2026–2027 academic year. Only doctoral candidates in their 4th year of thesis may apply and must not have defended their thesis by 30 April 2027.
