Fulbright U.S.-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program 2027

The Fulbright U.S.-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program 2027 invites university faculty, government officials, and professionals from ASEAN member states to undertake research in the United States for three to four months in 2028. Selected scholars conduct research on priority U.S.-ASEAN issues with regional significance, contributing to the understanding of the U.S.-ASEAN relationship. The program provides a stipend, travel and settling-in allowances, and access to host institution resources, with up to 22 scholars expected to be selected.

Applicants must be Brunei citizens or citizens of an ASEAN nation, residing in an ASEAN country during the nomination and selection process, and must return to an ASEAN country after completion. They should be university faculty, government officials, or professionals in think tanks and NGOs whose work focuses on U.S.-ASEAN issues and have a significant record of scholarly or professional accomplishment.
