Postdoctoral Researcher in Migration Studies

The University for Continuing Education Krems is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for the ERC-funded project 'Ethics in Action: Navigating Ethical Dilemmas of Migrant Solidarity'. The role focuses on sanctuary and solidarity cities in the United States and Latin America, involving qualitative research, fieldwork, publications, and stakeholder engagement. The appointment is part-time (30 hours per week) for three years, starting 1 November 2026 or shortly thereafter.

Part-time salary for 3 years, support for fieldwork and publications, international networking, collaboration with leading scholars, flexible hours and some remote work, internal training and family-friendly support services.

Applicants must hold a PhD in political science, sociology, public policy, urban studies, migration studies or related fields, have an excellent publication record, and demonstrate expertise relevant to urban governance and migration studies.
