Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS) 2027

The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS) is a merit-based tuition reduction award for academically outstanding students applying to full-time Master’s degree programs at Leiden University starting in September 2027. It is highly competitive and aims to support international students who would otherwise face significant tuition costs. Approximately 25 scholarships are awarded annually, and the scholarship provides fixed tuition fee reductions but does not cover living costs, visa expenses, or proof of funds for immigration.

Applicants must hold a non-EEA/non-EFTA passport (with some exceptions for Advanced LLMs and certain programs) and must apply for a full-time Master’s program starting September 2027.
