Meta Research PhD Fellowship 2026

The Meta Research PhD Fellowship 2026 is a competitive fellowship for outstanding doctoral students conducting research in artificial intelligence and related technology fields. Selected fellows receive multi-year financial support, tuition coverage, and opportunities to engage with Meta researchers, attend an annual Fellowship Summit, and explore internships at Meta Research. The programme covers a range of eligible research areas including AI, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, distributed systems, security, AR/VR and related fields.

Two years of tuition support, annual stipend of $42,000 (total > $84,000), conference travel support, paid visit to Meta headquarters for the Fellowship Summit, access to Meta researchers, and potential internship opportunities within Meta Research teams.

Applicants must be enrolled as full-time PhD students at an accredited university and conduct research aligned with one of Meta’s eligible research areas; applicants at any stage of their PhD are eligible.

Complete an online application including a detailed research statement and selection of a fellowship category, and submit two recommendation letters (including at least one from PhD advisor).
