ISSNAF Young Investigator Awards

The ISSNAF Young Investigator Awards recognize outstanding early-career Italian researchers and scholars working in the United States or Canada across a range of disciplines. The programme comprises five awards (Biotechnologies, Hematologic Malignancies, Computer Sciences, Fundamental Physics, and Italian Culture). Winners receive a monetary prize and are invited to present their work at the ISSNAF Annual Event in Washington, D.C.

US$3,000 prize for winners; travel and lodging award for winners and finalists to attend the ISSNAF Annual Event; presentation opportunity and public recognition.

Applicants must have Italian citizenship, primary current affiliation with a research institution in the United States or Canada (candidates for the Embassy of Italy Award must be affiliated with a U.S. institution), and a PhD degree received or Medical/Veterinary Residency completed in 2018 or later (exceptions may be considered for career interruptions).

Complete the dedicated application form and submit CV, research summary, description of personal contributions, and two reference letters. Shortlisted candidates give virtual oral presentations; three finalists per award present posters at the ISSNAF Annual Event where winners are announced.
