Conference Fellowships

Conference fellowships offered by ISCB for students and postdoctoral fellows to present a talk or poster at ISMB 2026. Fellowships include registration waivers for virtual participants and monetary awards to assist with travel and registration. Awards are limited and consideration is based on ISCB membership and accepted work. Invitations to apply are sent to submitting authors after acceptance of Proceedings, Abstracts, or Posters.

Applicants must be current ISCB members whose membership does not expire prior to December 31, 2026; must be listed as an author or co-author on an accepted Proceedings paper, Abstract, or Poster (excluding Late-Breaking Posters) and must be the presenting author; must be registered in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or be a post-doctoral research fellow at an accredited educational institution at the time of the conference; applicants must register by June 11, 2026 and attend all four conference days.

Invitation-only: invitation emails are sent automatically to the submitting author after acceptance of a Proceeding, Abstract Talk, or Poster; the invitation contains a travel fellowship application URL that must be submitted by the presenting author; each application URL can be used only once.
