The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat Internship Program 2026 for young Africans.

The AfCFTA Secretariat Internship Program offers internships in a variety of departments to motivated students. It is designed to expose interns to the workings of the AfCFTA and develop analytical and technical skills in an international environment. The program targets nationals of AU member states residing in Ghana and aims to provide hands-on experience across multiple fields during a set internship period.

Professional development experience, hands-on work across AU departments, exposure to international professionals, development of policy, administration, research, communications, and project management skills, and expanded professional networks.

Be nationals of a Member State of the African Union and residing in Ghana; final year students enrolled full-time in a recognized higher learning institution; proficient in at least one AU official working language.

Applications are submitted online via the AU internship portal; applicants must register, provide supporting documents (motivation letter, passport/ID, CV), and submit their online application.
