Call for Submission: African Union Innovating Education in Africa 2026

Applications are invited from innovators to propose practical education innovations with potential for sustainability, scalability and replication across Africa. Successful applicants may receive grants to strengthen interoperability with public education and TVET systems, along with opportunities for capacity building, policy engagement and recognition from AU partners. The initiative aims to advance education and skills development in Africa in alignment with continental frameworks.

Grant funding up to USD 50,000; promotion to AU Member States and partners; Certificate of Recognition from AU; capacity building support; structured policy engagement opportunities; participation in the Innovating Education in Africa Expo and policy dialogues; inclusion in policy toolkits and catalogs.

Applications will be accepted from citizens of AU Member States leading an organization that is legally registered and directly responsible for the implementation of an education innovation with verifiable outcomes.

Submit online in English or French with information on the challenge, the innovation, performance outcomes, and alignment with continental priorities; provide business registration/licensing documents.
