关于这个机会

The LAWA Fellowship Program is a 14-month program based at Georgetown University Law Center that trains women’s human rights lawyers from Africa. Fellows study for a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with an emphasis on international women’s human rights, complete a major graduate thesis, and may pursue specialized LL.M. or certificate options, along with professional development seminars and networking. After graduation, there is an option to undertake an internship with participating organizations.

福利与资助

Tuition for required and elective courses, LL.M. degree at Georgetown, on-campus housing for the initial summer, books, health insurance, and limited medical reimbursements.

申请资格

Candidates must be human rights lawyers focusing on women’s rights, hold an LL.B. or another law degree, and demonstrate capacity to cover visa and living costs; preference is given to those currently living and working in Africa and who do not already have a Master’s degree. Applicants should be 5–10 years out of law school, though variations are considered.

Submit the application form along with resume/CV, education history, publications or significant research, and two letters of recommendation; applicants must include all required documents to be considered.
