The University of Cambridge Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme 2026/2027 for young Africans

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme at the University of Cambridge provides funded study opportunities for talented African applicants to pursue a master’s degree at Cambridge. The programme supports scholars with course fees, living allowances, and visa-related costs, along with leadership development and placement opportunities. It is designed for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to sustainability and climate resilience in Africa.

Course fees covered, monthly living allowance, visa fees and IHS surcharge, economy return ticket; additional benefits include induction, leadership training, and support for a 3-6 month placement with an Africa-based organization, plus alumni community access.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, meet their chosen course’s entry requirements, be from and reside in an African country, and be applying for an eligible full-time master’s course at Cambridge.
