Fellowships supporting individual scholarly and artistic research on the histories, concepts, art, and objects of the early modern world (ca. 1400-1800). The program seeks to create a multidisciplinary community of inquiry and offers various fellowship modules and research resources, including access to Folger collections and networks with Folger Theatre, Poetry, and other programs. Fellowships span 1 to 3 months, with stipends and additional benefits available for in-residence or remote research between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027.

福利

Stipends for research time (monthly amounts specified), access to Folger collections and online resources, consultation with Researcher Services, remote access to undigitized materials, networking with Folger professionals, discounted theatre and concert tickets, and visibility on Folger platforms.

申请资格

Open to all artists whose work would benefit from significant primary research related to the histories, concepts, art, and objects of the early modern world (ca. 1400-1800) and its legacies. Artistic applicants are not required to hold a formal degree, but should describe their training and level of industry-specific experience in their CV.
