Applied Geosciences – Applied Mineralogy and Crystallography (AMC) (MSc)

The AMC specialization is part of the Master of Science programme Applied Geosciences at RWTH Aachen University. It provides in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical training in the structure, chemistry and properties of geomaterials and functional materials, with extensive laboratory-based training and opportunities for advanced analysis techniques, field trips, and access to large-scale research facilities. The programme offers modules across diffraction methods, microscopy, geochemistry, data management and materials engineering, and can include optional international study or internships.

Bachelor’s graduates in geosciences with the required background, or graduates in materials science/engineering or chemistry/physics with sufficient relevant credits, can be admitted to the AMC specialization.
