Applied Materials Science

Applied Materials Science is a Master of Engineering program offered at the University of Applied Sciences Jena. The program covers advanced materials across ceramics, polymers, metals and nanomaterials, with a four-semester structure including a final Master’s thesis conducted in collaboration with industry, a research institute, or the university laboratories. Courses are primarily in English, with some lab work in English and German, and the fourth semester is dedicated to the Master’s thesis.

Master of Engineering degree; access to English-language courses; participation in international elements and opportunities for study and research abroad.

Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in Materials Science or Materials Engineering and demonstrate good performance in the undergraduate program.
