Young NCB Advisory Group: Empowering Young Voices to Shape a Better Future for Children and Young People in the UK

The Young NCB Advisory Group (YNCB) is a youth-led platform created by the National Children’s Bureau to ensure that children and young people have a meaningful voice in shaping policies, programmes, and decisions affecting their lives. Members contribute to governance, research, policy development, and programme design, and participate in activities designed to build confidence and leadership while influencing national work on issues affecting children and young people.

Participation in governance and policy work; skill development in public speaking, leadership, and collaboration; opportunities to influence national programmes and to engage with professionals and decision-makers; access to exclusive opportunities and support for accessibility and accommodations.

Open to young people aged 11–18, and to those aged 11–24 who have a disability or special educational need.
