UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance launches first call for chapter creation 2026 global opportunity to build regional MIL networks and strengthen media literacy worldwide

UNESCO's MIL Alliance has launched its first global call for the creation of MIL Alliance Chapters. The initiative aims to strengthen regional and thematic collaboration, enable localized MIL interventions, and support advocacy for MIL policies with governments. Applicants will form chapters within the MIL Alliance to coordinate and contribute to MIL-related initiatives worldwide.

Access to UNESCO’s international MIL network and opportunities for collaboration across 117 countries, capacity building in MIL education, and increased visibility for regional initiatives.

Applicants must be members of the UNESCO MIL Alliance, represent organizations involved in media and information literacy, and demonstrate capacity to coordinate or contribute to MIL-related initiatives.
