Dissemination Grant for Local Government Associations 2026: Funding Opportunity Up to SEK 150,000 to Strengthen Democratic Governance in Africa

The International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) has launched a Call for Proposals for its Dissemination Grant to Local Government Associations (2026). The grant aims to empower organizations working with municipalities to strengthen democratic governance at the local level in selected African countries. It funds the design and implementation of structured training initiatives for local government representatives using ICLD tools.

Financial support up to SEK 150,000, capacity-building through dissemination of ICLD tools, and practical training activities for local government officials.

Eligible organizations must be legally registered, work in training, supporting, or representing local governments, have experience in capacity development, demonstrate financial transparency and accountability, and be able to manage and complete the project within the timeline.

Submit a proposal (maximum 5 pages, excluding budget) in Word format including organizational background, description of proposed activities, target group, selected tools, timeline and budget.
