Origination Facility: Investing in Scalable Climate Solutions

The Origination Facility, managed by WWF Netherlands (WWF-NL) and SNV, identifies and develops climate-focused projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and provides early-stage funding to transform initiatives into scalable, bankable solutions that can attract further investment. It supports activities such as feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, environmental and social safeguard checks, pilots, and business model development to create investable project pipelines for the Water and Land Use Facilities.

Projects must be based in ODA-eligible countries with a minimum share of funding directed to LDCs and development cooperation focus countries, and must demonstrate potential for scale and environmental and social safeguards.
