U.S. Department of State’s FAIT Fellowship Program (Fully-funded)

The FAIT Fellowship is a two-year, fully-funded program designed to attract IT talent to the U.S. Foreign Service. It funds undergraduate or graduate IT-related degrees and provides stipends, housing and travel allowances for two summer internships, plus mentoring and professional development opportunities. Fellows receive an appointment in the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Technology Officer upon completion and commitment to the program requirements.

Academic funding for tuition and related costs, summer internship stipends and allowances, housing and travel allowances, mentoring, and a post-program Foreign Service appointment as a Diplomatic Technology Officer.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in or planning to enroll in an IT-related degree program at a U.S.-based accredited institution; the program accepts both undergraduate and graduate students and requires meeting minimum GPA and security criteria.
