India Call for Proposals and Grants for Young Researchers

Zubaan Publishers and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation are offering a number of research grants for young researchers from the eight northeastern states and eastern Himalayan region. The grant supports research exploring gender-related themes in the history, politics and culture of the northeastern states, with a focus on gender in the region. The first draft of selected papers is expected four months after the methodology workshop/webinar, with possible revisions thereafter.

Financial grant of Rs 35,000 and academic support for the research project.

Applicants must be from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura or hill regions of Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Kurseong, and be fluent in reading and writing English.

Submit a grant proposal (max two pages) detailing the project, sources, subject, and timeline, plus a writing sample, CV and two referees; selection includes a shortlist and possible interview.
