The Civil Engineering Short Term Scholarship 2026 is a short-term, hands-on scholarship hosted by CERN (STAG) that places students in technical, engineering, and administrative disciplines at CERN's Geneva campus. The programme involves working on real infrastructure projects alongside professional teams for a duration of one to six months, with a focus on practical training rather than traditional classroom-based study.

Monthly stipend, paid leave entitlement for placements of four months or longer, hands-on project work in a live research environment.

Applicants must be nationals of CERN Member States or Associate Member States, be actively pursuing a post-secondary qualification (bachelor, master or diploma level), have working knowledge of English or French, and remain a full-time student for the duration of the placement. PhD candidates are not included.
