IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS)

ISTAS26 is a multidisciplinary conference that gathers engineers, social scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, non-profit practitioners, and community stakeholders to discuss the social, ethical, and policy implications of technologies intended for sustainable development. The event covers themes such as sustainable and humanitarian technologies, AI and societal impact, ethics and human values, universal access and assistive technologies, technology policy and governance, and includes a Kerala-focused track on coastal climate adaptation and resilience. It aims to foster evidence-based dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and practical pathways for deploying technologies that promote inclusive, resilient, and equitable development.
