PROTEGO Marine Litter Innovation Challenge 2025

The PROTEGO Marine Litter Innovation Challenge 2025 invites organisations to develop innovative solutions addressing marine litter in hotspot locations across Ghana and Nigeria. The initiative provides funding, advisory support, and opportunities for partnership to scale projects that reduce marine plastic pollution. It aims to empower organisations with practical solutions and help bring those solutions to real-world impact.

Project funding up to €40,000; expert advisory from waste management and marine conservation specialists; visibility to local and international partners; tailored training; opportunities for strategic partnerships.

Open to organisations legally registered and operating in Ghana or Nigeria with at least one year of experience in marine litter or waste management, and an innovative project idea addressing PROTEGO hotspot locations and challenges.
