The interpretive technologies sandpit is a funded international research call inviting individual researchers to develop collaborative projects at the intersection of the humanities and technical disciplines to improve AI systems' interpretive capabilities. It seeks to fund new project teams that co-develop prototypes, evaluation frameworks, and resources integrating humanities methodologies into AI development, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and contextual reasoning. Early-career and experienced researchers are encouraged to participate, with the goal of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries.
