The Pan-African School for Emerging Astronomers (PASEA) is a cohort-based summer school that provides compact lecture series, hands-on activities and inquiry-based teaching to strengthen scientific thinking and build capacity in astronomy and related STEM fields. The school runs parallel streams for undergraduates (basics of astronomy/space science) and postgraduates (front-line research and computing) and includes a pre-school workshop for instructors on inquiry-based pedagogy. PASEA aims to create home-grown scientists and build scientific communities across Africa through training, lectures and practical sessions.
