Sandbox Africa Hackathon 2026

The Sandbox Africa Hackathon 2026 is a technology competition for developers, engineering students, AI enthusiasts and hardware innovators to build and demonstrate practical software, AI, robotics and embedded-systems solutions. Participants compete using working prototypes rather than ideas and the top three projects receive cash prizes. Finalists and participants also gain access to industry mentorship, technical networking and potential pathways to further develop their projects.

Open to technology builders including software developers, engineering students, AI and machine-learning enthusiasts, robotics builders, hardware hackers, embedded-systems developers and technical founders who are working on prototypes or projects.
